Electric bicycle traffic insurance
In Finland, traffic insurance is required for electric bikes if the bike exceeds a speed of 25 km/h or its motor has a power of more than 250 watts. Such e-bikes are considered motor vehicles, in which case motor insurance is mandatory. The insurance covers damages that the user may cause to others.
